How to play DVD's on a chipped Xbox without DVD kit?

I've got a chipped box, with an Xecutor 2 fitted by Saur.

How do i get it to play DVD's without paying for the DVD kit? Anyone help me?

You need a copy of DVDX (sometimes called DVD Region X).

Got that now, but it says i need to have the eject trick feature enabled?

Any ideas or can i just burn the bugger onto a disk and get on with my life?

X2 supports the eject trick.

you will need dvdx 2, dvdx still requires the remote, version 2 utilises the gamepad for all the controls.

If you use Slayers to install Evolution x dashboard, you will automatically get DVDX2 and Xbox media player for mpegs and Avi files.

dvdx doesnt actualy work on newer dashboards either

that's true, but it can be made to work. I'm pretty sure someone on here gave a few tips on getting it going. I did it myself as I quite like using the remote to play the dvds.
