    DVI or HDMI switch

    Here's my actual setup:

two 21" monitors: same specs, same inputs: DVI, VGA, component, composite and s-video, one of each.
The primary monitor has every input used (DVI for PC, VGA for Dreamcast, component, composite and s-video for other consoles through switches); secondary monitor (for PC use only) is hooked by VGA.

By the end of the year I'm going to add a new PC and probably a PS3 or an X360...or that's the idea.

The new PC will replace the current PC on the DVI inputs for both monitors, current PC will be hooked via VGA to the secondary monitor. All existing consoles in my collection won't move from the inputs they are hooked to.

The problem are the PS3 and the X360, which I'm planning to hook up via DVI on the primary monitor, so I need a switch.
I've found this: http://www.avocent.com/SwitchView_DVI_4-port.aspx which sounds good, is reasonably priced (around 200 euros) and works as a KVM, which is plus.

However, I'm searching for a quality-oriented solution, KVM is a bonus and not strictly necessary.

The first option is a DVI switch to which the X360 and the PS3 will be hooked through HDMI-DVI converters.

Second option: HDMI switcher, consoles won't need any converter but I'll need one for the PC and the monitor (as neither of them will have an HDMI input/output). I know that the only difference between HDMI and DVI is that HDMI carries sound and has a different layout so with good adapters I won't lose quality.

To you, what solution sounds best and which kind of equipment would you recommend? Budget is not fixed, I prefer to buy quality equipment rather than find myself not happy with picture quality (especially from the PC), let's say that the maximum budget is around 500 euros, switch plus converters.
Switch should have at least four ports and able to handle 1920x1200@60hz.

    Thanks.

I got one of those HDMI Switcher which I bought on ebay and it can use HDMI from DVD Player, PS3 and (PC via HDMI to DVI cable) and it work fine for HDMI display. Picture quality is great.

Don't know about DVI display to HDMI Switcher though.
