GBA Link Up question.

I've tried doing a search to see if someone has already asked about this, but couldn't find anthing. Maybe I didn't look hard enough.

Anyway, I've heard you can't play link up games on the GBA with carts from different regions? Is this so?

Also, is it possible to trade and battle on the new Pokemon games using carts from different regions?

In some cases it's blocked, but quite often European and American games will link up fine. Japanese ones won't though, because of the language difference (which leads me to believe that if developers take the time to add all the extra "u"s then they probably won't link).

Haven't tried Pok?mon yet though, I'm afraid.
