Help me choose a new TV

After deciding against a Projector, i'm now looking at getting a new TV.

Only things I know I definately want at the moment is
1080P
24 fs (or whatever it's called)
And ideally one that has a decent scaler so I can play my saturn shooters on it.
I've currently got a 50 inch DLP, so I don't want to downsize if possible.
Budget wise i'm looking at spending around ?1,500

I've been reading around about the new Sonys today:

Or there are supposed to be good Samsungs - probably cheaper too.

Dunno whether they're good for a Saturn mind....
