Fake PS2 Memory Cards on eBay?

I recently purchased a PS2 memory card off ebay from a seller I believed to be in the UK, but it's only just turned up and as you might imagine, it's come from the lovely land of fakes, Hong Kong.

I've opened it up and my gut reaction is that it's a fake, but I know even official packaging from Asia can sometimes be a bit iffy. Is there any surefire way of spotting if it's a fake? Cos I sure as hell don't want to trust it with my beloved save game data if there's any doubt.

Just to add, I've inspected the back of the packaging and it states that it's actually intended for the Republic of Korea.

Is it one of those ones that came in official yellow packaging, and is branded as Sony? If so it's third party, but is stable. Is the label underneath in English or Japanese too?

It's just like the millions of xbox M-cards on ebay are 3rd party but seem official to the untrained eye.
