Some Xbox Live questions

First of all, if I've registered Xbox Live on an Xbox can I de-activate it or something so the Xbox can be sold on (and the new owner can register their own XBL nickname)?


If I've registered with Xbox Live, is the starter worthless or is it of any use to the next person?

you can just delete the account serttings from the machine before you sell it.

the starter disc is no good to anyone else.

Do I delete it just by going into Memory management and deleting the account from there?

Also, at the end of year 1, will MS automatically renew my subscription?

You need to cancel your subscription with microsoft on this number: 08005871102 or after a year is up they will renew for another year automatically

I got US XBOX live kit today and in it, it say It must be activate your account with the provided subscription code by 30th of June 2003 (Page 7 of XBOX live manual)

It also say it must be used only in USA and Canada.

Do I need to worry about it ? Will I have a problem or not.

I sold the Xbox this evening and I forgot to remove the damn Live account. Can any harm come of this?

I'm gonna ring up tomorrow (0800 5871102) but in the time being can any damage be done?

well if u left the allow premium purchases thing on he could buy all the downloadable content for everygame, but i dont think theres enough of it yet to do u any serious finiancial damage, apart from that the worst he can do is impersenate you a bit.
