Recommend me a keyboard for the PS3?

Hi there,

I need a mini keyboard to plug into the USB socket on the PS3, or something along those lines so I can type quicker than using this annoying PS3 pad. The smaller the better please.

I use a Think Outside BT stowaway keyboard.

It works really well, and lives in a leather case when not in use. Makes for a good web browser experience without the dreaded wires!

I see a few on Ebay, one with a "Buy it now" for about 20 quid.

Driverless install, and now they are no longer so popular with PDA users, PS3 owners can make a killing. (Cost loads when they first were released)

It depends what size you want and how much you're willing to pay. If you want to go luxury with it then there is always the Logitech Cordless Mediaboard Pro which was designed for the PS3 but isn't cheap.

That's a nice keyboard, shame about the price.
If you search for Keyboard with keypad you will find plenty of cheaper alternatives

I bought one silver USB mini keyboard (basically no number pad) on ebay
and it work fine. I use it for both PS3/360 whenever I need it. I use Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse for PC which work great. (Have used it on xbox 360 in past)

I'm most drawn to that first one Capcom posted, any ideas where I can get it other than e-bay? And what sort of price am I looking at If I get it from a retailer?

Take note from the pics, there is a flap that pops out for placing a PDA. I use it for placing the joypad.... Dunno if you can just cut it off, but just to make sure you know.

The flap thingy should be fine, not too much of a problem as the whole thing's so small anyway.

Don't stress Parry, for 18 notes you can sell it on if you want! The nice thing with the PDA holder is that the PS3 controller sits snugly and you can use it like a mouse for the web pages (Zoom in & out etc) so it works well.
