    Xbox Live Account Suspended

Signed in but can't access Xbox Live, it tells me that my Account Has Been Suspended due to a problem with my Payment Method. Looking at my account on the website I have a payed up Gold Membership until May 2009 >_<

It tells me to Update My Profile but wont let me into Live to do it.

    Anybody come across this?

    NEVERMIND!!

Too many different Credit Cards in the mix >_<

Same happened to me too.. They were trying to take it off an out of date card?

This happens if the primary credit card linked to your account expires, whether they tried to make a purchase on it or not.

You can add another card, but it always uses the first card that you registered as the default.
I have to manually select my 2nd CCard everytime for Xbox Marketplace spending etc. The first card was cancelled due to my details being stolen a while back.

My registered card ran out months ago and I've been able to use my Gold account and add another 12+1 month code without any problems.

This is one of the reasons I have no card details stored on my 360, I buy my Live subscription/XBLA points via websites. Problem avoided

I have one on mine that I've never used but it's due to expire very soon (my Live Subscription is still good till 2009). I don't want to add any other card details as I prefer to use codes (especially since I'm not exactly happy aboput MS's crappy policy of you not being able to remove the details yourself).

Does this mean I'm going to run in to trouble when the card expires then?

I used a credit card for my first year of Live, cancelled it at a later date and then switched to using codes. Never had any problems.

I'd never register a credit card with Microsoft again after the crap I had.

It took constant effort for nearly 3 months to finally get it sorted and for them to admit that they were wrong.

Yeah that thread was the reason why I'll never want to give them my card details again.
