KOF 99 - DC - Not VGA Compatible

Is there anyway to get it vga compatible, its the only lead i use with my dreamcast. Although my vga box does have a composite switch...

If you can track down a DC-X boot disc then you can tell the game how you want to display when it loads.

    I haven't seen a DC-X for a while though...

I'd guess it doesn't run in VGA even with a DC-X, very few of the low res 2D games are compatible, might be wrong though.

I've got a DC-X disc if you want to borrow it to test it Zero9X, PM me if so.

Its ok mate. I have a backup of a similar kind of disc and it doesn't work with that either. So i doubt it will. Shame really considering its a cracking game. Every other 2d fighter i own works fine on vga though. :/

The early KOF's don't work on VGA, atleast '99 DM doesn't, not 100% sure about 99 Evo. You could always get KOF 98 Ultimate match instead though, just came out on ps2 and has 480p support .

DC-X will let it boot in VGA. Last Blade 2 Jap has no VGA support but the DC-X tricks the game into thinking it's running through a supported cable. The manual says as much too. You hold "start" when DC-X boots and you get a menu where you choose PAL / NTSC and then RGB / VGA / Composite.
