Vocoders and such things

After listening to Daft punk for a bit I've looked into Vocoders.

Can you get software on the pc that uses a normal Mic and makes your voice sound robotic? or do you have to have one of the Vocoder things?

I use a software plugin called Fruity Vocoder which comes with FL Studio, a music sequencer.

Here's a video tutorial on it.

I have a Microkorg keyboard which has a vocoder on it, but to be honest I prefer using the software version I mentioned above.
