Charging a UK Nintendo DS in Japan

I'm off to Japan in a few weeks. Is there anywhere I an buy a Japanese charger for it before I go? I don't want to be stuck out there with no way to play FF Tactics A2! I suppose I could buy one in Akihabara when I'm there but I don't want to risk it...

You'll definately be able to buy a ds charger in japan, most game shops will sell them, even if you can't speak japanese just whip out your ds & say AC adapter & they will know what you mean

Failing that im sure play asia sell them.

First check the rating on your UK charger. If it says something like 100v-240v 50/60Hz then you can simply use a travel adaptor.

I charged my DS in the US with a UK charger (with travel adapter), so I would think it'd work in Japan. But er.. don't quote me on that.

Softmap in Akiba was selling them for 300yen each the other day. Those were secondhand but you'd only be using it for a week or so right?

Beware of dodgy ones on eBay though
