Best Place To Get Logic 3 Hard Dance Mat?

I'm thinking about improving my technique on DDR and other associated dance games, though I'm tired of having to use my modded soft mat (staple gunned to thick ply wood) which craps out on me on the more frantic songs.

Does anybody who currently owns one recommend any particular place to get one from? Not too bothered whether its bought online or from a shop. Another thing, I've been told it can be taken apart for storage and transport purposes. Does each tile come apart or is it 3 x 3, or some other formation? Cheers guys!

I've written a small article on this and the two other common dance mats you can buy (ignoring the other Logic 3 dance mat which is fairly nasty). Still waiting for Marcus or someone to get back to me... :/

I really wouldn't recommend them though as they have several design flaws which are likely to cause long term problems and at ?130 it's expensive. I'll bug Marcus to find out what he thinks of the article so I don't have to rewrite everything again.

I have heard reports that it does creak in places and that the arrows require a bit more effort than in the arcade to get them to register. But is it actually that bad? I'm only small too (5ft 8, 10.7 stone) and I'm not a freestyler (don't quite have the ability or the 'groove' for that). I only want something to pratice achieving max combos on. I don't mind spending the money if it can at least offer me the above.

Are there any other alternatives to this besides actually buying a DDR machine for my home?

I've got one and its been superb. Best mat I've used at home by a long way.

Its had some serious punishment and has (and still does) perform superbly. It did creak when I first got it but that lessened with time - perhaps things 'bedding in'.

I got mine from www.gameloaded.co.uk for about 95 quid including postage which was the cheapest I could find at the time.
