Lego Star Wars Complete Saga DS - PS2 differences??

My 7 year old nephew wants Lego Star Wars - The Complete Saga on DS for his birthday.

Now, he's had both Lego Star Wars games on PS2 and I'm wondering how different this is to justify purchasing it - I don't want him getting all disappointed if it's just the same (I know he's only 7 and he probably won't give a squit, but he's a bit like Stuey in terms of precociousness and possibly might...)

Anyone know if it's different enough to warrant buying, what with the touch screen stuff and whatnot?

very few difference, just some mini games using touch screen for DS.
And the DS cannot generate the detailed 3D maps that PS2 can do.

I've played the first one on PS2 (and PSP) and quite a lot of the complete saga on the DS and can honestly say that there's not much inbetween them bar a loss of graphical fidelity (which is to be expected) given the DS low screen resolution and portable nature.

Thanks for the replies on this.

£29.99 seems a lot to pay if the level designs are basically the same as the PS2 versions. Having said that, I might trade in some ****e to ease the pain...

Couldn't you give the boy Lego Indy?

^I was thinking that myself but all he cares about is Dr Who and Star Wars at present (he's a sci-fi guy.)

Anyway, he'll probably play through it all again if it's got some extra touch screen light sabery minigames ensconced within it.
