    Headphone recommendations?

Could anyone recommend me some really good circumaural (earcup) headphones? I want to spend about ?30-35 and i've been looking at some Sennheiser ones since they seem to be the biggest brand, but I really don't know. I'd like them to be pretty hard-wearing really, because all my previous heaphones have got all knackered in the jack wiring or something, probably from kicking around in my bag. Any help? Thanks

I've had 2 lots different versions of the senheiser ones, they really are fantastic, mine get slung around (not in their protective box) and they've survived 3 or so years of abuse. The cabling on this is top notch too.
    Reccomended

Yes I'll second that, Sennheiser headphones are great, they produce a very natural sound as well.

Also look at Beyerdynamic DT231 Galactic headphones. When I bought my ones a couple of years ago What Hi-Fi rated them amongst the best (4 stars) for sound quality in under ?100 'phones. In their price range, ?30 - ?40, nothing came close then.

Check the reviews at Amazon and note particularly the extra comment the first reviewer added for a good audiophile description. of what you get.

Only minor criticism I have is that they use an elasticated inner headband rather than have a full size adjustment system. Also they rest on the ears rather than full cup but, believe me, they are very light and comfortable. I do 2-3 hr gaming sessions and barely notice them.

The rest of the Beyerdynamic range generally gets good reviews too.

You could also try the head fi forums.

I got the very cheap Koss KSC75, which are (honestly!) superb for the price, but might not be what you're looking for.

Try the Sony Eggos if you're after something a bit exclusive (Japanese import). I have the D22s and they're the best pair of portable headphones I've ever owned.

I personally did not like the Sennheiser headphones I had (admittedly in ear) although I was told they were great.

At that price range, I recently bought some AKG headphones. There is a portable pair (K14 I think now) which are great and I also (in error as I thought they could be genuinely portable) got he K81s which are superb but not great for carrying. Excellent if you have a longer journey though.

But try them out if you can as some find AKGs uncomfortable.

Bit of a bump, Argos have these Sony iPod Bluetooth headphones half-price

Buy Product not found at Argos. Thousands of products for same day delivery, or fast store collection.

                    Anyone have them ?

They also have these Samsung ones under half price, but can't wear those type of round the ear ones due to wearing glasses. Don't like the look of them either really.
