Thanks Momo..I've lost my bearings on feedback as I've had a friend round and was searching my name to find my feedback thread to work it out and found this thread.

Hope you get your answer to you question and thanks to Jase for the heads up. I missed your thread and it was sold by the time I saw it.

That will be fine mate, think the Wii only needs 100 amps or around that. Think the GC was 75.

Right, thanks Nick. Had an opportunity to test the official cable - same problem. So, unless someone can tell me that the stepdown is as bad as my 3rd party PSU for shielding, I guess it must be the TV.

You mean watts, not amps, and I don't think those numbers are correct. Watts is roughly equivalent to volts x amps, so at 110v the step down will supply 33W, which I think is just below the requirement for a GC (and therefore a Wii as well).

Doesn't the 220-110v refer to the stepdown from US-EU power (or whichever way round it is)?

Anyway, nothing blew up, so it's OK.

The Cube needed 48W, the Wii needs about 52W.

Will a game's gamecube power supply be good enough for USA wii and Jap gamecube ?

Is this a big fat black plug (Hate them) or extension to normal plug.

I'm not quite sure what you question is.

The GameCube power supply and Wii power supply are completely different, so you can't use them interchangeably.
