    Problem connecting with Orange Livebox

Okies. So, I've been using a Livebox (I know, they are utter garbage) to connect two computers to the internet, occaisionally unplugging the connection to computer 2 so that I can use it on the 360 for LIVE. I've been using this method for a while and it seems to have worked out ok, though I've been meaning to buy a switch, but recently my computer isn't able to detect anything from the router. When I plug it back into the 360 for LIVE it can detect the connection and I don't have a problem.

Now, obviously the problem may well be with the PC though I can't understand why as I've done some basic troubleshooting and everything seems to be in order. I've also reset the Livebox and looked through the admin settings and nothing seems to have changed, so I was wondering whether anyone could offer some suggestions?

I realise with these things that there could be a number of reasons as to why it isn't working, but for my own sanity I thought I'd ask here first.

I know it sounds silly but have you tried restarting the PC once it is plugged back into the live box?

Yep, I've tried restarting the PC. I can also see an orange light flickering at the back of my ethernet network card, which should confirm a signal/connection, but sadly it doesn't seem to want to connect to anything. Usually when the signal drops out I get the standard windows message saying 'connection lost' and to 'right click and repair' or something similar but it hasn't appeared so I'm a bit baffled at the minute.

Have you tried resetting the router - might help?

Fixed. It looks like the network adapter was f***ed, so I put a new one in. Thanks chaps.
