Good time to buy a DS Lite?

I have a white fat DS, but really want a Lite. Would it be wise to buy one now ish, or is there talk of a new one on the way?

Quite a few people have speculated a new model, without the GBA slot, but Nintendo seem pretty adamant that there is nothing new planned.

Can't see that happening. How would people play guitar hero. Or use the Rumble Pack.

People have been speculating that for about 2 years now, and there's never been a shred of evidence or sense in the rumours.

You could wait until TGS (or whatever Nintendo's seperate thing is called) if you want to be extra safe.

New model is heavily speculated may be best to wait for TGS but then, TGS is a while away yet.

Up until this year's E3, I would've assumed they would still scrap the GBA slot anyway if the only things that use it are rumble games and the browser, but now that Guitar Hero had a slot ('scuse the pun!) during their conference, I'm thinking they probably won't. Or at least, if they did, I doubt it'd replace the DS but would instead be released alongside it as a kind of DS Lite... err... Lite

I doubt that, though, as it doesn't seem in their best interests to cause unnecessary confusion

I wouldn't say it'd matter like that, just get one now, the lite is a lovely piece of hardware too.
