    Wireless internet question

Okay here goes, apologies for what may be a silly question. I know jack about pc's and networks etc!

I am currently with Virgin broad band, which feeds internet direct into my pc. I have the cable modem which then connects to a wireless router. My brother accesses the router for his laptop.

Now eventually I want to get rid of my desk top and get a lap top.

Now, will i still be able to use the internet via the wireless router if I get rid of the desktop pc? If so, how should I do this?

    Thanks in advance.

Aye, you should be fine. Most new laptops have a wireless adapter built in. So as long as you check for that, you should be good to go.

Yup as Joe said, it should be fine. The only think you might have to do is to run the router software (that came with it, like a CD for example) on your laptop to install it. If that's the case, just follow the simple on screen instructions and you'll be set up in no time!

And don't forget to set some security... like running WPA encryption and turning off the SSID. It'll help at least prevent randoms from stealing your bandwidth...
