Crackdown 360 - freezing at title screen after HDD format :(

Seem to be posting on here everyday at the mo!
Having recently had some problems with my Elite Hard Disk I formatted it. Everything seems to work fine with all the game saves I transferred to the mem. unit etc. However I now can't get Crackdown to run.

If I try and get it to read my old save game it freezes and the 360 has to be turned off. Ok I thought so I'll remove the memory card and run it from fresh as if I've just bought the game. This didn't work either and the game still crashes. I'm getting a new system on Wednesday but would like Crackdown to actually work if poss! I'm not on Live! at the mo and wondered if Crackdown needs to be updated before I run it? I also wondered if I could recover my savegame anyhow i.e. get it to work, as I was in the process of trying to get all the orbs.

I kept getting this problem before went back to it months later and it seemed to be okay. can't remember if i got an update or not but there's one out if you haven't been on Live ever so it might help

As a stab in the dark, you could try clearing the machine's cache and reinstalling the title update from Live.

Did clear the unit's cache and haven't been on Live since so guessing that's probably the prob. Cheers lads will give it a shot later this week, when get online again.
