monitor repair.

hi all, i have a hp monitor just lying about at the moment as the rabbit took a chomp at the cable and has severed a few of the lines within the cable. the cable is a the captive type and the internal lines are too fine for the option of solder as stripping them would be all but impossible. is there a solution, ie repair, or i be better off binning it and buying a new one?

What kind of monitor? How old is it?

it is a HP 17" flat panel and it isn't too old, couple of years at the most.

If the cable is not replaceable replace it as you could get a bigger monitor and avoid paying 70 quids for repairs.
