Sturdy earbuds?

In the last year I have broken about 8 pairs of ear buds. Usually one side will start cutting in and out or they will just fall apart in general. I carry my Nano with me everywhere and use it a lot but it's a bit disappointing when a good result is that my earphone last a few months.

Does anyone know a make or model that is particularly sturdy. Sound quality is not important as I pretty much only listen to podcasts not music.

I wish I knew the answer to this too. I can't stop the damn things breaking.

But the joke's on the manufacturers, because it always happens within a year, and I always keep the receipt, so ha.
