UK Psu on a Jap orig PS

A friend (wont name him lmao) stuck his 240v into his jap PSX can we take the internal psu out of a UK PS and put it into the Jap psx?

You should be able to manage that. But if the 240V has fried more than just the PSU, then it won't help...

Probably worth a try though!

ok tried to put the uk psu in , but the jap psu is 7 pin connector whereas the pal one i have is 5 pin. Anyone know we can get a replacement psu as its an original series 1 jap psx and hes a bit gay about it working.
