Buying a modded for imports PS2 - where?

Does anyone know where I can buy a PS2, ideally slimline, that is modded to play imports from any region, for both PS1 and PS2 games?

There was a court rulling that scared off all the companys modding ps2's. Nobody offers ps2 chipping anymore, certinaly not openly. Your best bet would be a wanted add here, or swap magic boot disc thingys.

Just brilliant. I brought back a load of Japanese PS2 games (I've been over there for 2 years) and I assumed it'd be easy to get one once I got home. Thanks though

The plan was to stop fannying on with the likes of swapmagic, and just buy a nice, professionally modded PS2, with the intention of it being the last one I buy.

Maybe wait for this site to open back up, as modchips have once again been made 'legal' (well not quite sure what the real legal stance is, but these guys won their case).

A modded PS2 is the best thing for imports really. You can then have both US, Japanese and PAL games at your disposal.

did the clip on modchip ever work out as i remember there was one that came out as i'm also looking for a modded slimline ps2 and thinking of buying a pal ps2 and modifying it

i just need one for us and japanese games as i dont have any pal ones

thanks for that but reading on the site, that the softmod only works with the larger model ps2 and not the slimline pstwo model
