    Chipped X-Box emulation question

Im thinking of getting a Chipped X-Box purely for emulation purposes, as i cant think of any X-Box games im interested in, well maybe Halo
Im a total newbie when it comes to X=Box as ive never had any interest in it till i heard about the emulation stuff

    Anyhoo questions

    1) What chip do i need, Messiah?

    2) Does the X-Box have a modem so i can find Emu's? and ROMS?, Dont have broadband u see

    3) Is a chipped X-Box able to read CDRW's so i can use my PC to collect EMU's and ROMS and burn them to disc?

    4) Are all main EMU's up and runnning 100% on X-Box

Im just getting one to play full screen classics on my TV with a controll pad, i have attempted to plow through Bauhmat Lagoon in Japanese back when it 1st came out (Paying ?70 for it too), but now i want it in english

    Help please guys

Messiah, is a PS2 chip IIRC... you should use Xecuter. Umm I think you have to use an FTP client to upload files to the Xbox HDD (you need to stick a bigger hdd in i think)

Emu's are up and running even N64. Ok, well I don't have an XBOX anyway just things I picked up, ok good luck maybe someone else can give you better answers

'some' brands of CDR. If you are lucky enough to get a xbox with a Samsung DVD drive (its tray has large holes in, like a skeleton style). I do know that even the Philips drives can play TDK CDRW

Indeed, if you mean MAME, Super famicom, megadrive, PC Engine, etc

Go for it! Try getting one premodded from londonconsoles - nothing but good feedback about them here in the forum, maybe they can give you advice on this stuff further. Try typing xbox emulation into google though, there are literally hundreds of sites with info now

Any X-Box will read Maxell CD-RW 74 - I use these to transfer my emus and roms from my PC to the 'Box.

if you ask nicely most modders will put everything you could possibly want on for you.

            Cheers guys
I know 0 about the X-Box and wouldn't normally touch it with a barge pole
However the Emu scene has turned me on to it
