    UK White PS3??

    Will we ever see one??

What with the announcement of Blazblue coming out I'm tempted to finally pick one up but I really really want a white one to fit in with the rest of the consoles in the lounge (Wii, 360, Jpn PS2, Saturn, SNES) & I know their available in Jpn, but I'm not sure I want all the hassle of trying to import one with the added Duty/VAT involved

So I was just wondering if anyone knew if we'd ever see one in the UK or am I going to be forever stuck with the ugly black thing we have now??

I'd assume that eventually they will as they did the same with the PSP, that took a while to come out over here in ceramic white. I bought my white HK model from the UK back in April for ?225 off ebay, cost me another ?15 for 24hr delivery. I think that was pretty cheap when compared to what Duty I might of got stung for if i'd imported, although I'm not sure what kind of price you were looking at paying for one.

The seller I got it off garethmorgan-2007 has them in stock in the UK, doesn't look like he has any at the minute, but he does seem to get a few in though.

Thats actually a damn good price.

I'd quite happily pay the £260-£280 that they seem to be going for on ebay at the mo providing I could be sure that I wouldnt get any extra charges.

My only other reason for looking into a UK one is Blu-Ray I know full well they are cheaper in the states etc. but I wouldnt mind being able to just walk into HMV & buy one or 2 when they do their 2 for £30 deals like they are at the mo but it's not a big deal if I cant.

Will deffinitley keep an eye on that seller & see what he comes up with now though.

      Thanks for that, much appreciated.

I’ve got a silver PS3 and the duty on it wasn’t too bad (think it was twenty something pound) - Which was well worth paying considering it isn’t made out of the same dust hugging plastic.

Most of the Region B Blu Ray I've watched have worked fine so far. The only one that didn't was Die Hard 4 - which is ****e anyway.

          Really??

I was envisaging all sorts of massive costs not ?20 odd which to me is worth it to get the right colour to help keep the Feng Shui of the lounge

Thats good about the Region B stuff as well.

Reckon I'll be bighting the bullet & get it ordered soon then.

          Thanky muchly each.

This site should help you do a little homwork on your region B discs, I bought a region A player and have a good selection of both.

From the pictures I've seen I'd say it's slightly duller than the silver PS2.

                Yeah, I think it was £210 + £35 p&p and £22 duty - which wasn't bad at all.

It also has the 65nm cell so it runs quieter.
