amyone know the PAL release of tales of vesperia?

i checked some sites and they all seem to have different ideas. some saying mid 2009! this will not stand.
is there any way of playing import games on a pal 360 with getting the stupid thing chipped?

I would say around April 09 for the PAL release. It's quite rediculous. There is no way of playing import games on a pal 360 unless the game is region free or chipped. You might aswell import a cheap asian console, which is what i'm thinking of doing. I think they are coming down to £120 for the arcade soon.

thats a half decent idea. But i guess once you whack on the delivery costs it will end up being about £160 odd.
It's utter bull**** regarding the haphazard way that region free on the 360 works. will it be? won't it be? **** you microsoft.
I am really really interested in this game and its an utter travesty to think that a game that is already available in english dialect is going to take half a year to come over here. who do they think they are?!? nintendo?!!!!!

Its more a problem on Namco's end than Microsofts. I think they want to translate it for all the countries in Europe its getting published. We will probably end up with the American script complete with Americanisms which makes the wait even worse.

grrrr. namco... I am offically boycotting them from now on. unless they release a decent new katamari game. and I guess if tekken 6 is decent, i'll get that too. but apart from that, me and namco are through. Unless, I guess, ace combat 6 comes out. or soul calibur 5...

I'm really thinking of importing a new JPN Console for those lovely shooters and arcade games, so i have a couple of questions before i do and i figured this would be the best thread for it.

First question, if i do order one and some games have english will i be able to play it in english on the JPN console? I'm guessing it depends whether the system is enabled to english first.

Anyone know the date they are going to go down in price?

Another thing, is there any protection against the rrod?

That's exactly the thing that has been keeping me away from a JPN X360 all these years and after having bought all those JPN games hoping that the next hardware revision will solve the problem. As far as I know there is no absolute protection against RROD even with Falcon motherboards, I do hope that Jasper (or whatever the new revision is called) will solve it.

Argh, I just bought a PS3, I can't buy two consoles in a month!
However, it's the X360 we're talking about. A JPN 360. I'll gladly wait the next hardware revision if it is a little more reliable.

I contacted Play-asia, they said if it RROD i can send it to them and they can send it to the manufacture to repair.

So my main question now is if i get a Japanese console games like Tales of Vesperia which has a secret english option will i be able to play it in english on a japanese console?

if you buy the asian release, its actually cheaper and i think it runs in english by default.
