Can anyone recommend me a decent printer for under ?30??

Not for me it's for my father, his lexmark has just bit the bullet!

    Any help much appreciated!

It's not hard to get a reasonable printer for around £30. You've just got to me careful because those tend to be more subsidised by the cartridges. £18 cartridges are a pain (especially for ones without seperate black ink).

Have a look in PC world and see if there're any that have any particular features you want but always check out the cartridge price before you buy. Most cheap printers now do a pretty decent job (but you want one that has black ink for document printing, one that uses all three colours rather than black makes for greenish text).

Expensive shipping and a low price barrier probably means it isn't worth using ebuyer

Daughter has an Epson DX4400 (I think that the model number), it's a scanner/copier as well, was £40 about a year back so should be about your price bracket. Works great and replica cartridges aren't too costly onlilne.

Wilkinsons near me is selling one of those HP all in ones for around 30 pounds at the moment. Decent price for the money although the ink cartridges tend to be very small (5ml).

              epson all the way.

Cheapest cartridges by far, and very dependable printers! (if you have the ssc service thingy to freeze their stupid ink counters, which cause the printer to "malfunction" after a set number of uses).
