At ?600, it's a bit pricy. But certainly a lot better than things like the XRGB. The Anchor Bay chip is regarded as one of the best deinterlacers.

Main issue is it's only got 2 component inputs.

I'm currently using an amp with a Faroudja upscaling chip. Which is pretty good for PS2/GC games. Makes the image look like it's been upscaled through Photoshop. But i'm quite tempted to upgrade to this.

I was tempted by the same device myself for quite some time but never took the step of buying preferring other purchases.

BTW, isn't the XRGB a VGA converter and not an upscaler?

Yes, the XRGB is mainly a VGA converter with basic deinterlacing/upscaling. But I think this is better value for money, considering the XRGB costs around ?200.

I'm trying to find a cheaper EU seller. The US MSRP is 'only' $800, which is significantly cheaper than that UK site.
