    Multiregion blurays for ps3

    Hi
Can anyone tell me which Uk release blu ray films are multi-region, i.e. are compatible with the JP PS3 system.
Is there specific film studios whose releases arent region specific, as I would love to be able to just pop into a shop on the uk highstreet and just buy something to watch if the impulse takes me.
    Thanks for any replies

I was looking at that list earlier then went to look at some blurays in zavvi and hmv and noticed that there's some differences in some of the titles being region free or not.

For example Spiderman 3 on that site says the american release is region locked, but the back cover of the uk release says Region A/B/C.
Same with Tekkonkinkreet and 21, the american one seems to be locked but says A/B/C on the back cover as well ?

Have some blurays been unlocked when released over here

That site has different sections for each region near the top if the page.

        ██ Region A
        ██ Region B
        ██ Region C

Another good place to look is on MovieTyme.com as they won't list something as being region free until they have checked it themselves whereas other, such as the one above will list something as region free if they've just read that it is on another site.

MovieTyme also run a blog which is a good way to keep up with their results and any sales they have at the moment.

It's worth refering to this post on blu-ray.com to get an overall idea as to what you should expect from different studios in each region.

I find the region information on the back of the box is actually reliable (unlike with DVD's), so it can generally be trusted. One exception seems to be anything Funimation, which are actually region free despite being labelled Region A.

Unless I'm just missing it, quite a lot of Blu Ray disks don't seem to put the region code on the back, annoyingly (I have a US PS3 so need any disks I buy over here to be region free).

I've noticed this with WB Blu Rays. Most of their films are region locked and state the region on the box but I've found those without the code tend to be region free (like Sweeny Todd).

Some of film doesn't have region A or C information on it and it still region free.

One sure way is to learn who is the publishers are and which one always do region coding ie Fox. Then avoid them for region A PS3 owners.

From that site looks like the majority of uk blu ray films are region free excellent!!!
