DS Lite IS Dead....

Tried turning it on today and it wont come on, thought it might be the battery but when i plus it in to the charger the light comes on.

Anyone have any ideas or do i need a new one?

Was looking forward to playing the new castlevania too.

Have you unscrewed the battery cover and checked the contacts? May be worthwhile giving them a bit of a clean incase there's been a buildup of muck.

Usually the charge light coming on means a complete circuit though which could indicate problems with the main board of the DS. Probably best to search for a repair forum and see if they list common causes.

Does it not turn on at all, or does the green light flicker for a split-second (and maybe the screen flickers white once also) and then nothing?

Just resurrecting this thread as I seem to be having the same problem. Light comes on when the recharger is plugged in, but no sign of life on the screens, no green light either.

Any ideas?
