/ The Drikara WOULD work if someone was to reverse-engineer the bootdisc for it, extract the code for enabling the mics etc and combine it with some code for a VCD bootdisc...as the structure for both type of discs is the same. I already asked this here and on DCEvolution... and yes, it only supports composite (I also tried with an RGB cable, no go). Both video and power are obtained from the unit on top, so it has to be an NTSC unit with 110V, that's correct. You CAN setup and try the mics and various effects aftere having booted the startup disc, so it SHOULD be possible to implement the code in a custom bootdisc...

/ Have seen some pics of the ZIP-drive, didn't know it was up for sale though?...
(going by thos pictures, it would be impossible to use both add-ons at the same time. Unless you have a pic from the underside or backside of the unit to check if it has the same hookup system.)

/ Dan Potter has done the piggyback solution for his DC-NAVI-project

/ Well, I sold my PAL DC aftere having unsoldered the modchip, which left me with the virgin JAP console and another one which I got from a friend. It already was in the PAL casing with 220V board... I soldered in the modchip, and since it showed up the orange bootup, this would be the only thing to recognize it as an NTSC unit (bar the fullscreen interface).
