I have Shenmue 2 on my DC, but the laoding times are driving me insane. I heard that the XBox version has much quicker loading, but what else is different, apart from those filters? Does it still have Japanese speech? And, does it have the items that you can import from the DC Shenmue 1 to Shenmue 2? (The scroll from the dojo, etc.)

It doesn't have Japanese speach. All the voices are dubbed unfortunately.
Also the loading times aren't noticeably different from the DC.
If you're referring to the Moves scroll, that is still in this version. -
the graphics have been polished up a bit too, they've replaced a few of the larger textures with higher resolution versions, added a few polygons to the main characters and it doesn't suffer from slowdown like the DC version does - its not a huge difference but it helps, the stones around the fountain where you start the game no longer flicker, for example.Comment

Oh man, if there's no quicker loading, and they totally extinguished the jap voices, then I think I'll give it a miss. I don't think it's worth the money just for a slightly higher level of graphics and no slowdown.

Xbox Shenmue II also allows you to take photos and save them. and has the Shenmue move DVD of course.
I didn't think the Dreamcast loading time were that bad, but the Xbox should be faster, even if its not much of an improvement.Comment
