Adding DVI out to my PC

Hey. I want to add a DVI output to my PC as it currently only has VGA out and I want to use that input on my monitor for something else. I can't use a converter unfortunately as the monitor has DVI-D and the converter uses DVI-I (which has four extra pins).

So I think I just need to add in a new graphics card with DVI out, but obviously I already have a fairly decent card, so can I just add in a cheap one? I was thinking of getting this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQitemZ120321477368

    Any help is appreciated, thanks

If you buy a cheap gfx card like that, you can't take advantage of your existing one if it's more powerful than that Radeon

Well I'm not entirely sure but my PC has everything integrated so I guess they just didn't include DVI out. It seems to run all the recent Valve releases without too much problems, though I don't really game that much on it anyway. My PC is definitely smaller than most but I'm not sure if it's "mini"... I can take a pic of the back if you like.

Do you mean if my current card is better than the cheap one, I won't be able to use the current one after installing the cheap one? Hmm.

Ah right yeah (sorry I removed the questions afterwards as I wasn't sure if they were appropriate, in case you had some hardcore gfx card that just didn't have dvi!).

Reason I asked about the size is because my PC is a slim style tower so regular gfx cards don't fit, only slim ones. Although you can buy regular gfx cards that are just slim with a full-size metal bracket and just put your old bracket on there if you need to (that's what I did).

And yeah, if you install a new gfx card in there, it'll take over completely. Not to mention that card you linked to is AGP so you wouldn't be able to have two gfx cards in there as you don't (at least usually) get motherboards with two AGP slots.
