That's exactly the one I wanted! John Lewis have sold out, but it seems these guys will price match them. Thanx much.

        Another vote for the 32v4000.

I bought one a few weeks back and it's an absolute steal at that price. Good connectivity, handles both SD & HD sources admirably and my 360 looks the dogs on it! The onboard speakers are more than fine if you don't have a stereo or surround sound system to hook it up to.

As is usually the case the default picture settings are awful so it's well worth playing around with them 'til you're happy (turn off dynamic contrast / sharpness etc.).

my mum is getting one of these tvs as her old style crt broke, so for the price i'll try my 360 on it and see what i think as i'm tempted to buy one of them myself.

is only instore at comet for £320 ? as richersounds lists it for 400 ish with that 5 year warranty

Comet had it for £329.99 online last weekend but it looks like they've completely removed it from the website now.

Comet were only doing it with a standard 1 year warranty from what I remember. An upgrade to 3 years was something like £169 extra

I know it's probably an awful set but anyone know anything about this? Can get it for £315.

better off with the sony as my mum had just got one of these kdl32v4000 and its pretty good on sd tv, some sky channels are bad but thats the bitrate they are transmitted in as five and bbc are well good

whats a good source to test the hd as i have an xbox with component cable to check it as i'm tempted by the amazon offer with free 3 year warranty for one myself

has any one bought from amazon, how do you get the free 3 year warranty ?

                    I did.

You just need to fill in & send off this form along with a photocopy of your Amazon receipt (see attached for full details):

Approx. 3 weeks later you'll get a certificate in the post with your policy details. Job done.

If you input the code LOWERVAT during checkout you'll get the new vat rate (amounts to 2.13% discount) which'll knock 7 or 8 quid off the price.

tom-nook, thanks for that i have found the form on amazon site, did you use express delivery and who delivers it ?

today i tried my 360 with component cable on my mums, 32v4000 and the 360 looked excellent. I was sat 3/4ft from the screen at the time, game i tried was farcry 2 ended up playing it for an hour lol

sd pictures need to tweak settings though as some aren't quite as good but for under 400 tv is excellent for the money

                        Hi mate,

I did go for the express delivery and it was delivered by City Link. No complaints at all.

The 360 looks great as you say (I'm using hdmi) and if you tweak the SD settings the quality is very decent (untweaked it looks much worse so worth playing with them).

I bought a W4000 but I took the settings from HDTV test. Here are the V4000 settings:

I've tweaked my TV further and it looks great now. I remember turning the TV on for the first time and I tried out Frasier Season 1, which was in my DVD player and it looked horrendous! But that was due to the settings and the stretching of the picture to full screen.

I also got my TV from Amazon and it does appear they use City Link for delivering larger packages. However, my estimate was for the Saturday. I watched the tracking and it suddenly said that nobody was indoors for the delivery! They even claimed to leave a card. After reading online, it appears that they have been known to do this before. I would have been mildly annoyed if they just told me the truth instead and said they were not delivering, rather than outright lie. Just a word of warning.

I understand that there are many happy customers, but if they were so able to lie to me like that, and on the phone when I contacted them, it doesn't bode well for orders that don't go smoothly and that can happen.

thanks, my 360 doesn't have hdmi so i can only use vga or component and thought the colours was very good by component

i will try vga as thats the best pic i've seen on the 360

is the express delivery next day ?
