When I click the sound icon in the system tray, the volume adjuster appears for about half a second and then disappears, and my taskbar then becomes unresponsive and just beeps at me when I click on it. I am still able to open the start menu but that is the only thing it lets me do, also if I then try to restart it the PC completely freezes up!
I have updated my Video and sound drivers, I have virus scanned, I have defragged! I'm out of ideas!
