Suikoden 3, flip-top lids, and my bank balance

Hi all,

I have had a flip-top lid with swap magic disks for a while now and have played all my import games with no problems. I recently got Suikoden 3 for a price I could at last afford (?25), but it won't work with my Swap Magic disks. I didn't realise this at the time (I thought all import games would work) My problem is this, on the Recommended list of retails on this forum, the price for the new messiah chip to be bought and installed is ?65. That is WAY out of my price range. Besides installing it myself (something I am not altogether comfortable with), is there any way to get Suikoden 3 to work?

your only other option is to buy the relevant imported console, which comes in a lot more expensive than ?65.

lol. I have been after the game for ages, but it was always too expensive. I finally find it at a decent price, but have to fork out tons to get it to work properly! Sods law I guess.
