PSP 3000 custom firmware

Just a quickie...can they be downgraded for Custom Firmware yet??

Tempted by the damaged box sale going on in the bargains thread to pick one up but I suspect they may be 3000's & if they are I'd like to know if they can run custom firmware first.

I believe Datel have released a new tool battery for them which are supposed to be the only batteries that can put the 3000 in service mode at the moment... and I'm sure Dark_Alex basically said that was bollocks. Not sure what the conclusion of the argument was on that one.
