So I can fully install games to the HDD? Or is it like PS2 and PS3 where it just speeds up load times etc, but you still need the disc?
        Kept you waiting, huh?

You still need the disc, it just speeds up loading times. However, 360 disc drives wear out extremely quickly, so it's still a highly useful feature to prevent that from happening. Also, the drive sounds like a rocket ship, so it's nice to have a quieter console. Do not underestimate how loud some of the drives are.

This here JPN unit is whisper quiet. It has a Hitachi/LG drive too.
Is it worth doing the X-clamp mod now whilst it's had zero use to prevent any problems later down the line?

Save the warrantee in case of RROD. tbh it's only going to be a minor help, and if it's a new unit, it probably has it applied officially anyway.

It's a Xenon launch unit, but it's brand new. Has been sitting on a shelf for 3 years. Nowt in terms of warantee as far as I'm aware.

Just wanna be on the safe side as far as keeping it RROD free for as long as humanly possible.
