Which version do you buy PS3 vs 360

I was looking at my gaming collection recently and noticed that for multi platform games I more often now buy the PS3 version. I always used to buy the 360 version.

However now its less hassle to just pick up the PS3 one as I know it will be region free. Important because my 360 is Jpn and my PS3 is USA. I also trust my PS3 to be more reliable. Nearly everyones 360 that I know has been returned for repair at least once.

Has anyone elses choice for multiplatform releases changed or are you all still chasing those achievements??

I'm a bit like you now mate, I am buying more and more multi-format games for my PS3 now. In the past I would also go for the 360 version because of achievements but I am not into whoring those like I used to before.

Now I basically just think about two things, which controller I feel more comfortable with and am I going to play it online alot. The former point usually means I go for the PS3 version and the latter usually means the 360 version. The tough decision comes when there is a game that feels better to control on the PS3 pad but has some sort of online functionality too!

    I used to have about 5 PS3 games and 18 360 games, a huge difference. Now I have 19 PS3 games and 19 360 games!

I still tend to go for 360 games. Prefer the pad for racing/FPS games and the 360 versions do tend to still run a bit better and have better online and downloadables.

Usually 360 games, as they tend to be a couple of quid cheaper (for some odd reason!? especially in places like C.E.X) and I prefer the online functions. Looking through my PS3 collection it consists of a raft of PS2 titles and a single game in the form of LBP.

Having only a PS3 only, I'll obviously go for the PS3 version. However, when I'll get an X360 I'll probably get the version for MicroSoft's console, I like the pad better.

I do tend to stick with 360 versions due to the Pad, the PS3 pad is too light for me.

since ive had 3 repaired 360s now, i rarely buy anything on the 360 other than exclusive AAA titles. everything multiformat is PS3 because i dont feel like the PS3 could die at any moment.

if it was a toss up between ps3 and 360, as most my friends have a 360 - I would choose that version, as I like to play online.

I stick to the 360 versions as well because of Live, achievements and all my friends having 360's.

I don't have a single game for the PS3 even though I had it for a year (apart from PSN games). I notice that graphics on the 360 look better because of better anti-aliasing.

I've got a 360, since January 2006, and a PS3, since a few months ago, and don't own any games for the PS3. The PS3 is primarily a Blu-ray player but I might be interested in Killzone 2.

I'm getting the PS3 version of multiformat titles, most recently Far Cry 2 and Dead Space.

Sure, Live is superior, but online functionality is not a must for me, if anything, I'm a casual online gamer, just random matches from time to time. Therefore, I prefer the PS3 and (to a lesser extend) the Wii way, I'd never pay for online gaming.

Also, there's the reliability issue, I've seen too many RRODs.
