Don't say Liksang, they're all sold out! I also wondered where I could get a modchip for it so that I could play import games; how difficult would this be to fit? I attempted to modchip my Playstation last Sunday, and I ended up snapping an extremely small point off while trying to get rid of some excess solder on the last point to solder! However, it was first ever attempt at soldering, and the other 13 points went fine. So, to recap, I'm okay with a soldering iron, where can I get a new DC and a modchip?

Simple answer:
1) Use the "new DC?" thread about half a page down to get yourself a PAL one cheap; Gamestation, some HMVs and the odd indie are all good places to try.
2) Don't chip it; chipping is a pain, and frankly less reliable than a good Bootdisc. There are free ones, but you'll be wanting DC-X, which is the all-singing, all-dancing boots at 60Hz one. -
