Spraypainting a Gamecube/Playstation

I'd really love to give my old indigo GC a new lick of paint, but I was wondering, should I practice on my Playstation first? An answer to my question and any guides or faqs to painting either would be greatly appreciated. Also, where should I get my paint?

I did my PSX last week. It's pretty easy:
