Transfer MS 360 warranty to another owner?

My Elite died a couple of weeks ago. I had it repaired by MS under the RROD warranty, but bought another from Game because I hate the MS hassle. I'm going to sell the repaired unit on eBay.

Can anyone tell me if the new owner will be covered by the MS RROD warranty still? I had to register it with MS to get it repaired and can't uncover any information about ownership/warranty transfer. I called MS and they said the warranty can't be transferred, but then they also said I would get another years' full warranty after repair when I rang to book it in for repair (which they've subsequently told me is only three months), so I don't trust them to provide the right answer...

Officially the warranty can't be transferred, unofficially it will depend on which CSR the buyer ends up talking to.

If the buyer has your name, address and email, they will be able to have it transferred to them by talking to the right CSR.
