Connecting a GC to a monitor

I am trying to connect my US Cube to a monitor via a VGA Cable.

First problem, scan conversion from 15.75Hz to 31.5Hz needed. solved this
    with a Double scan convertor(keene electronics Pro-v plus) now i get a
    picture but its green !

    Please help.

what vga cable are you using?

What cable are you using from the cube to the descaler?

Also, what resolution are you outputing on the monitor? 640*480?

If so why aren't you using the progressive scan option from the cube and the custom cable?

      Hi tankplanker

I am using the pro scan output from the cube ( by B Button) and the
cable is the official one modded by saurien. Not sure of output from
      monitor 480 ?

just as a side note i have returned the keene descaler. So am looking
      for other options.

      Thanks for looking.

Have you not got this working yet? I'm not that clued up on monitors, when tested on mine nothing else was needed except progressive mode for an image.

To eliminate faults - I dont mind testing the cable again, if you got a green picture that suggest the mod on the DAC chip is not working. You manage to get hold of that Panasonic Q?

          Hi Saurien

When i first used your cable on another monitor it worked fine with no
need for a scan convertor. i have since got hold of a another monitor
and thats when the problem started. I think it could be the monitor ?, with
the cable attached it gives a messege of signal only 15Hz hence the need
for a sacn convertor. Then you get a image, but its green! ft:

Btw no joy with the panasonic q, still looking.
