rip elite 360 :( any advice tha saga continues :( new graphics glitch ?????

hello, i was playing cod on my 360 elite for about 30 mins, then it randomly froze,,


i turned it back on, no picture on screen and after a minute the 3 rrod appeared :S,ive check all the cables are connected properly and i even let it cool for 30 mins and it still dident work, i bought this on the elite uk launch day. am i still in warrenty? what do i need to do,? is the towel trick safe to try? will it void warrenty? please any advise would be appriciated

If you purchased it on the UK launch date of the Elite then it is out of warranty I think. You could try the towel method but if it works it will only keep the 360 alive for a few months and then it will be totally dead. Probably best to contact Microsoft and see what they can do for you or if you can be bothered with the hassle go to the shop you bought it from and demand an exchange.

How long ago did the Elite come out? RROD is covered by 3 years of warantee, and I don't think the Elite has been out that long.

Ah yes, you're right. The Elite was launched in the UK in August 2007, so it would be covered by the 3 years RROD warranty.

Friend had his Elite turned around by MS in under 14 days at the start of the year. So should be under three weeks.

Though all the ones bought at Xmas could be going pop by now, it being five weeks ago and everything

On av and rllm seems people are getting them back in under a week. You are still in warranty so get on to xbox.com.
