    Router freezing

I'm not a tech buff, so please forgive my noobness

Router freezing is how I describe my problem. Basically, there are certain times when I access a page, mostly when there's a big image/s (I think). Anyway, I think certain pages or activity on pages cause my wifi connection from my router to my 'puter to die. It'll work again after resetting the router. It seems like a surge of too much info is causing my router to pass out.

This can happen numerous times in a day. It's defo something triggered from webpages because if I leave my computer on downloading a file over a long period of time without browsing, then it'll be fine.

Anyone know what the eckers I'm harpin' on about?

Whenever I've had a wierd problem with a wifi access point or router, its often been the power supply about to give up the ghost. You could however try resetting it back to default settings. Try it wired with a cable too to see if it does the same. I'd bet the mains adaptor is going up the chuff though, I had a belkin that did that, they replaced it free of charge and I've had no problems since. ..

Sorry, when I said "pass out", I didn't mean it powers down. It just stops providing me with internetifications. Leaving me with the "cannot find webpage" type browser messages.

Yeah, thats what mine did, mine didn't die completely, it'd just do totally bizarre things.

try it wired though, wireless is lame and could be getting some interference, or whatnot, first step in diagnosing a problem is to see if it does it hard-wired too.
