Donkey Kong 64 JPN - Language?

I've been at the point of buying DK64 JPN a number of times on this here forum, but I need to answer a specific question before I do. What proportion of the game is in Japanese/English? I like the sense of humour of Rare games, and I don't want to miss out; if the in-game text is Japanese, I'll probably have to seek out a US copy.

I've searched on the net and asked a few people, but no one seems able to give me a definite answer.

I'd say it's almost certainly all in Japanese. I know you wanted a specific answer, but if I were you, I really would go for the U.S. version

Its all in japanese as i have it & have played it to 101% completion not a jot of english in there. Didn't really stop me enjoying it though.

Ah, thanks for the confirmation. For some reason I had the idea that wouldn't be bothered to translate so much text.

Oh well, I'll just have to be patient. Mods can close the thread if they're feeling self-important.
