Wireless surround systems - any good?

Was thinking of picking up a surround system but don't want wires all over the floor, and due to living in a period building can't take the floorboards up to hide them . So wondered if wireless systems are any good nowadays? I'm guessing they won't be as good as wired systems, but wondered if someone might suggest a decent and/or cheap system.

I had the same problem and in the end decided to get a 2.1 (Sony DAV F200). Seems to do a reasonable job but obviously it's not gonna compete with a true 5.1.

It does have a very good sub and surpisingly small speakers. It also has 2x optical inputs on it so I use one for the Sky box and one for the PS3.

I've got a Logitech one taht I bought new from ebay for £100, it's always done me well. OBviously it's not entirely wirless, the rear speakers need a power supply to work.
