    XBLA Multiplayer Connection Issues

I've been having a few issues with XBLA connecting to multiplayer games.

A couple of weeks ago I tried to invite someone to join in a game co-op game of Fable 2, but whenever the other player tried to accept it, they got an error message saying they couldn't join the session. I tried every way of doing it, including starting a Party and inviting that way, and we also tried sending invites in the opposite direction, too. No dice.

Then, last night I tried to invite a different friend to a game of SF4 and the same issue arose. I began to assume it was my connection, but I was able to invite other players and fight against them.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does it have anything to do with signal strength?

The Fable II issue can occur if one person has the Knothole Island DLC (paid or free) and the other doesn't. Other than that it's worth checking that you both have open NATs.

      I'm sorry, I'm a technical dunce. NATs?

Oops. Sorry. It stands for Network Address Translation. From the 360 Dashboard go to System Settings then Network Settings and select Test Xbox Live Connection. It should tell you if there is a problem.

Did this last night, worked a treat! I had to enable something on my wireless router, job done. Cheers!
