MadCatz TE fightstick on Gens? (mega drive windows emulator)

Ok, tried to use my TE stick on some megadrive games last night, however on detection of the stick, the emulator did not like it at all. It came up with all sorts of error messages saying something like ?error with x axis?.. When I first tried to assign the buttons it freezed and crashed. Second time, it registered the buttons but not the stick. It?s obviously not recognizing the stick/axis..

The stick works fine with other emulators, any ideas anyone? Is this a known issue?

The SF4 sticks uses HAT switches for the stick.

The emulator probably doesn't support HAT switches so you'll need to go through a program like xpadder or joy2key and tell the emu to use the keyboard key that you assigned in the app.

Have you tried switching the stick to left stick rather than dpad? That should make it act like a joystick rather than the hat.
