Some PSX games no longer working since upgrading to CFW 5.00 M33?

A while back (with some advice from the kind folks here), I upgraded my fat PSP from CFW 3.03 to 5.00 M33 (4 I think?) and I also put the same CFW on my new slim PSP. All is good bar a few emulators not working which from what I understand just need replacing with newer versions. However, I noticed today that some PSX games which previously worked on 3.03 are not working on either machine running 5.00 M33. Is there a reason for this and is there anything I can do about it?

    Cheers for any advice.

Yeah, the newer Popstation inside the newer firmwares increases compatibilty with some games and decreases compatibility with others. You need to get the popsloader setup and then you can load older firmware popstations.

Google it for guides on what to do. It's a bit of a pallaver, though, all said and done.

I see. Thanks. Seems a bit of a shame that I can no longer play Silent Bomber, Konami 80s Gallery and Tactics Ogre on the go. Oh well. Thanks again.

Well like I say, you can most probably get them working again, but you'll need to put a bit of effort in to do so.

          Cheers. I'll look into it.

One more question - what's the easiest thing to use these days to convert PSX games? I was using popstation from the command line with 3.03.

PSX2PSP 1.4.2 will do the job for you very simply. Regarding popsloader it's pretty simple....i'll PM you with a bit of help.

I'm probably being stupid but with PSX2PSP, how do you add the game's title to the EBOOT? I've successfully converted a game, but on my PSP the icon doesn't show a title for the game. Is there a way of doing this?

EDIT: Don't worry, I've figured it out. Cheers.
